Inevitably every Christmas when I start sending out cards, I realize that there are several Jewish people on my list (why this never occurs to me before I sit down to write out cards, I don't know). So I'm always scrambling at the last minute to find something appropriate, and usually just end up sending some kind of snowman or snowy card. Kind of appropriate, but I always feel like it's kind of a cop-out too. This year I decided I'd try to get my act together early, so I'll be putting together a couple of these.
This card was super easy to make. I just chalked the white background, so it looked kind of glowy. Then I cut strips of the DP to look like candles and adhered them kind of haphazardly. For the flames, I used A SU flower punch and just trimmed the bottoms, so they were rounded. Then I just inked the edges in orange (again to make them look glowy), and popped them on the card. The sentiment is computer-generated. I could imagine this card with so many different colors and papers. It's definitely a use-what-you-have-on-hand kind of card.
