For WT207, we had to use "frugal finds" on our card. I was so thrilled to do this challenge because last week I finally got a Big Shot, and when I opened the Top Note Die, I was so excited that I didn't even want to go and find a piece of cardstock to cut, so instead I used the cardboard insert that came packaged with my die. I couldn't bear to throw out my very first Big Shot die cut, so I lovingly placed it in my scrap paper box while telling myself I would eventually use it...so yay - I used it!
So the Top Note is a cardboard insert, while the ribbon is also recycled - it was wrapped around one of my wedding gifts 5 years ago, and I kept it for a rainy...um, I mean snowy day (I am in Canada after all!)
I stamped the French Flair Background with Perfect Plum, and the sentiment from Close as a Memory with Bravo Burgundy/Perfect Plum, then used a white gel pen to highlight all of the lines/images. At a distance, the images look embossed!
I also stamped the bigger bird onto a scrap piece of kraft paper, highlighted with the gel pen again, then cut him out and adhered him with dimensionals. Oh yeah, and I even got frugal with those too! I cut up the "edging" around the dimensionals to use on the bird, so I used up every bit of them.
Hope you like it, and thanks for looking!
