This is my card for today's Ways To Use It Challenge - to use a frugal find on our card. This could be something inexpensive or recycled.
I used Tamara's Card Sketch #84 for my layout: http://sketchesbytamara.blogspot.com...sketch-84.html
This sure is a frugal card. Everything but the card base was either recycled or a cheap find. The shimmery blue layer was cut from a fancy envelope I received in the mail. The glossy strips were cut from the cover of an old Nordstrom catalog. I always save them hoping I can use them for something like this! Finally, the flowers were cheap white ones from Wal-Mart dyed to match the other colors with Copic markers. Added a few violet rhinestone brads that were floating around the bottom of a drawer to finish it. Oh, and the sentiment was stamped with Versamark and Vintage Violet and embossed with clear EP. Hard to see in the photo.
Thanks, Julia, for the fun challenge today! We'll miss you!

Carla, I love your beautiful envelope background. The strips of the catalog are gorgeous. I am loving this challenge. It helps me feel not so crazy. It is nice to know that there are others out there with ribbon, papers, twine... saved from other uses to become cards. I AM NOT ALONE!!!!
