Little Tea Bag Purses-side details

Photo Details
Poster: Londonblue

It's the little things that make these special!

The side detail is fun too.. each one the same, yet different.
many people have asked for instructions:
These are easy :)
my little purses are 12X 3 1/2 strip of textured paper. I scored at 3 1/2, 5 1/2 & 9 1/4
the strip inside is scored at 1/2 inch intervals and is 4 inches by 3 inches. I attached the accordian strips to the sides with sticky strip and just embellished as I liked..I used the rectangle punch to make hole for ribbon handles..

I'm glad you like them! I used the velcro dot's from the fabric store to close them (they are self adhesive)

Inside there are beautiful Tea's individually packaged in beautiful cello bags from Xiuxiantea, and hand picked for each of my friends. In the middle is an accordian fold to hold the bags and the card from the tea shop with descriptions of each tea's herbal & flower makeup. They look like individual little sachet's!

The side detail is fun too.. each one the same, yet different.

Could you please tell me the size of cardstock that you used and also the size of DP that you used for the sides? Thanks!

Londonblue,

Your Tea Bag Purses are so cute and clever. I like that they have dimension to them - even though a tea bag is small, it still needs a container that expands a bit and yours do that with the accordian folds on the sides. The colors you used for the ones in the photo are terrific. Thanks for the directions for making them!

I'm sure your friends appreciate your thoughtfulness with the teas you chose for each person. Sounds like a great tea shop.

Carolyn.
