I loved your challenge, Katherine...darling Husband 'O Mine and I just celebrated our 22 anniversary on the day of LOVE, last Saturday. So as you see, it was quite fitting to honor him today. I chose to use CHF Thomas Kinkade's 'The Good Life'. This is fact exactly what DH is doing as I type! He has loved fishing all his life and he totally understands what a passionate hobby means.
My image was inked with Memento Tuxedo Black onto glossy cs. I inked part of the image again with Memento Lady Bug and cut the fisherman out for my spotlight. I used MM magnetic letters to spell out the word still the and the crepe paper red is the backdrop for the #1. I believe the #1 came from a K&CO set of wood mount alphas/numbers. The card is finished off with a big epoxied heart that states just how I feel...forever I'll be lovin' this man.
Thanks so much for the chance to play in this VSN. I appreciate all the comments and as a sidenote: last Monday night, my DH stopped by to bring me a coffee on a break from work and as I approached the car I could hear It's so much fun to be in love!

This is such a beautiful card!
I was hoping it was an Inchie (hint, hint)
I love that song as well - what a classic.
I sing along to the radio whenever I hear it.
Thanks for your sharing your story.

ONMGosh- he is a total Romantic! Your link made me smile so big! I know the crazy-love you speak of, that Buckle Man still turns my head after 35 years! Your card is such a tribute Susan, and you 'get' his passion for fishing, like he 'gets' your passion for stamping! How cool is that! Amen!

Oh that is the SWEETEST! The song part, hee! I haven't seen a Thomas Kinkade Susan-style yet, and I am LOVING it! Love the pops of red...did you know my husband works at a Fish Hatchery, and was at an ICE fishing derby this morning! The hatchery was about a mile from where he grew up and he always wanted to work there...AND...he was always fishing, and told me I should get a hobby, too....snicker....did he get his wish!!! Love this card!

Oh wow Susan, what a beautiful love story. Just love that it's real and that you are living it. Quite an image too, I think Nancyruth sent me a card with this image in plum, it is spectacular. Love your little "Susan touches" and the whole card. TFS
