I brayered some ink on a plastic placemat that has a woven texture (meant to be cross-stitched on...knew I saved it for 20 years for a reason, LOL!) then I laid the cardstock on top, put a piece of scrap paper over it and brayered to transfer the ink from the placemat to the cardstock.

Debbiedee is going to be searching her house now for more texture to make her cards with! LOL! Thanks for sharing your unique background with us, JanTink. It really adds so much to this card. LOVE it!

One of the frustrating things about demonstrating SU! is no textured cardstock :( So when I was thinking about these cards and how they needed to have a touch of fabric, this was one of my ideas that happened to work.

Wow. I thought I already rated it. I know I was already admiring it before. I love the color, the sponging, the texture and the sewing. I took my sewing machine permanently out of the dark closet into my bright stamping room again.

I rescued Beate's sewing machine from the dungeon of gloom! I have achieved my purpose, LOL! Fear not, gentle sewing machines! I am on a mission to rescue you from the dim recesses of closets and dark corners of basements! You're not just for fabric anymore!
