My boys are 11 and 8 and Valentine's day is kinda "iffy" around here (heaven forbid if some GIRL thought you might like her!! Or worse!! One of your guy pals thinks you like a girl!! gasp!!) So when I saw this idea on FamilyFun http://jas.familyfun.go.com/crafts?p...&craftid=12116
I modified it some to work for my boys (pink iPods for the girls, black for the boys, changed the Valentine Playlist to a Friendship playlist (and I actually took the titles off of their iPods). More specific info (and lessons learned from this project) on my blog http://www.sn-exploringcreativity.blogspot.com/

I made a couple of these yesterday to give to my dds.
I didn't have any string to use so I used embroidery floss instead. I also didn't have any PB cups but my sister had 4 Hershey kisses leftover from Christmas so I used those (covered them with foil so they would all be the same color). After looking at my sister's Ipod, I attached my string to the bottom because that is where the headphones plug into the Ipod.

Definitely doing this for my 16 year old -- it's getting harder and harder to come up with creative Valentine ideas as he gets older! Thanks for the inspiration!
