Hi! This card was made for today's Sketch Challenge.
When I first saw this new set, I KNEW I would love to use it! I love Easter. It reminds me of the times when I was in Elementary school and my mother would dress my little sister and me in brand new Easter dresses, gloves, tights and Hats. It was also the Special Sunday when we would go to the Easter Egg Hunt at our church in Redlion, PA. Those Easter Egg Hunts were certainly memory makers. I remeber watching in HORROR as my little sister ran around JUMPING on the beautiful dyed eggs! My mother has slides of me gawking in disbelief! LOL!
I loved seersucker dresses. And, I tried to get that effect here by running a white piece of card stock through the Cuttlebug with the Textile Embossing Folder. Next, I inked the image in More Mustard. Then, BEFORE I stamped it, I "rolled" the image in Chocolate Chip, avoiding the center! Then, I stamped the inked image onto the Textile embossed card stock. This left white areas on the image! And, it's bumpy! (I could have used Swiss Dots for a more authentic seersucker look, but I like this one! LOL!) Then, I cut out the image, leaving a white border.
The leaves were made by running a scrap of Memory Box designer paper through the Vine embossing folder. I rubbed an Always Artichoke pad over the embossed areas and cut the leaves and twigs out.

Beautiful! I love the colors and your use of the leaves and border dies. I think I may buy that border die now that I see your card. Thanks for sharing.
