This card was made for my MotherÂ’s (bonniestamper) Birthday. I wanted to use my new Hero Arts Misty Swirl stamp, flowers and buttons. I also wanted to work in a cuttlebug as it was a Christmas present from my Mom and Dad! I choose to use Swiss Dots as it has a repeating pattern and therefore could be used on a bigger piece of paper.
The Misty Swirl was stamped in Wild Wasabi and rock nÂ’ rolled in Always Artichoke ink around the edges and stamped on River Rock paper. This piece was distressed using my fingers and a nail file. The Scalloped Oval stamp was inked with river Rock, lightly touched to Wild Wasabi, and then rock nÂ’rolled with Always Artichoke on the edges; Birthday Wishes was stamped in Always Artichoke ink overtop. Birthday Wishes was also inked with Regal Rose and stamped on Blush Blossom paper and with a paint brush some Groovy Guava was applied.
The Flowers were inked with Groovy Guava and rock nÂ’rolled in Regal Rose and stamped on Blush Blossom paper. They too were distressed a little bit around the edges. Some glitter was added with a glue pen and were layered on the card with foam dots. Buttons were added with silver cord as the thread. Then it was all put together with some groovy guava ribbon.

This looks great! I bet your mom loved it!
Love the use of the rock & roll technique, as well as your perfect distressing (wait...is "perfect distressing" an oxymoron?-but I still think it's perfect!).
