I am combining three challenges with this card, the first being the SC which is always a lot of fun - thank Roxie always finding something new, it makes card making so much easier! Then there is the WT Challenge and I love embellishments and layering them is so much fun, so I am loving that one too. Lastly, but nowhere near the least is MotherMark'sTeapot Challenge and this little duck is just BUSTING to par-tay!!!
Actually Cindy, I broke out the best china for the Tea Party and although it is hard to see in the photo, the china cup has gold edging on it...so this little duck has better behave and not 'quack' the cup!!
I used CB Spots and Dots, (thanks Hannah aka bubblefrog for the loan!) as my first layer and inked it with Whispers Straw - colour on colour just to add extra depth, then I added turquoise double stitched ribbon. The patterned layer which is mounted on blue card and brads added was followed by the 3Ded duck in the china cup.
The cute little duck and the flowers along with the gorgeous shimmery butterfly are from a RAK from Suleika (aka Roxystamper)I have had the duck for some time and have saved him for the right card, he is so-o-o cute. I then did faux stitching in white around the egdges ot match the ribbon and inked torn edges to finish off! nowhere seemed right for a sentiment, so I will add it to the inside - when I decide on one...but I was already running late for the Tea Party and didn't want to be served cold tea - YUCK!!!
So thanks for looking and for your lovely comments!

I love that Suzy's Zoo duckling - keep looking out for those stamps but they seem to be very scarce. This little one reminds me of a cross between Woodstock (that wild hair!!) and those childrens books where you've got to find where the duck is hiding. And Appleyard farm. So sweet, and so bright and cheerful. I hope that was iced tea he landed in .

OMG! The pressure is on! Now that the bees and bunnies have cleared out hopefully we will not be as sidetracked and we can keep an eye on this daring little ducky! By the look on his face, I am not sure he quite understands the value of Great Grandmothers prized and cherished china teacup sporting a gold trim that just might be worth some astronomical sum! I might have you sign a disclaimer upon entering the teaparty...you know, I will not be held responsible.....Snort!
What a fun card! I love that tea cup stamp! Its awesome and how fun your little ducky fit perfectly in it! So glad you came to the teaparty carrying this awesome little card. It rocks!
Hey guys, Linda is here! Stop the sugar lump throwing contest until we figure how to protect her prized tea cup! I think we still have a couple of cups of HOT tea!
