Whew! It feels as though sometimes there's not enough time in the day to accomplish all you need to do. I missed the last challenges, so I got to play today. I had a sick child yesterday, so hopefully he'll be ok today at school. He got plenty of rest.
Todays challenge was to create a card using Layered Embellishments for Ways to Use it. Here is my story:
I first used the CB Swirls folder on old olive c/s and mounted it to chocolate chip c/s. I stamped the Changito monkey onto vanilla c/s and also the sentiment on the side using black ink. The vanilla c/s is 2 separate pieces. I cut to trim the second piece and used my threading water punch. I added brads and a piece of scrap pink c/s underneath. I used my Prismacolor pencils with Odorless Mineral Spirits and blending stumps for the coloring. I attached a ribbon to hide the seam and added a small bow. (it looks crooked but not in person) I added the Prima flowers with the rhinestones to finish. I also added some mini rhinestones to the flowers that the monkey is holding. The whole image is on there with dimensionals. I didn't think I would like these colors together, but I think it looks ok. What do you think? This actually went together pretty quick. Have a wonderful day! Thanks for the challenge!
