I had to think for awhile on this card.
Duck stamps? NO.
Did I want to do a duck shaped card like Cindy's? NO. (But isn't hers the cutest little duck shaped card?)
What to do?
I had taken a photo of ducks on the Mississippi River last month. I first thought of using the photo on my card, but yesterday I did several photo creations, so I wanted to go a different direction today. I took my photo and printed it on printer paper. I took a marker and outlined my duck. I then used old fashioned tracing paper to transfer the duck outlines to a piece of white paper. I then darkened those lines and scanned them into my computer so I could manipulate the size of my duck to fit on the card. I printed my duck on white cardstock. I also printed a little teacup from Microsoft clipart. I cut my duck out and colored his beak and feet with an orange colored pencil. I took chalk and made pink highlights on his wings like Cindy's duck. To get the flowers, I put a flower sticker on my teacup. I glued my duck and teacup to a piece of dp. I outlined the dp panel with a dark green marker. I added a ribbon to finish my duck card.
After flying so far to get to Cindy's party, my duck was very thirsty. He already drank all the tea in my cup and he is eyeing the tea in Dawn's and Sabrina's cups. (:< (:< (:< Quack!!!

MariLynn, you are just amazing!!! I think this is amazing.
The background paper is a perfect meadow, but that's the least of the great things about this. Your duck is A++, and to have him drinking out of a cup with that little rosebud!
Hope he isn't eying up my hot port, though!! He'd burn himself, and he might get a bit tipsy, not being used to it. And then who knows what havoc he'd cause with those wings.

Hey, Ms. McGiver....you earn your name again! I love what you created here! Its the da bomb!!! You always manage to make the perfect card!
Just between you and me, I been getting duck complaints from the other tea potters.....It seems we have a bully duck in our midst! I know the journey was long and hard, but the other ducks are a little on the wimpy side and we might have to set down some rules....Lets see how it goes this afternoon!
I hate to reprimand a duck this size! Yikes!
Thanks for including a link and for bringing this Quacker so far! Awesome card!

Genius you should be called! Wow, I love what you did, all the steps in your description are so fun to read when you look at the card. Love this Marilynn. Now, I don't believe my little ducky will stand next to yours, he might be intimidated. Gorgeous work. TFS
