My aunt asked me to make invitations for my uncle's 60th birthday party. Several years ago they moved into their home on the Chesapeake Bay. My uncle has waited all his life to have a house by the water. The sand and shells are from the ocean beach near them. I had to make 25 of these cards. They need to be mailed out in padded envelopes (postage was 49 cents each!) Took me 2 straight days to make them all.
The invitation is printed on the back of the tag.
The sand was adhered with my Xyron. I took apart the unit and unrolled part of the sticky side. Then I pressed the edge of the vellum against the adhesive, then into the sand. I tried the 2 way glue pen but it made the vellum curl badly.
The shells were adhered with hot glue. I originally tried glue dots but I had to press firmly to get a good adhesion and that was causing the shells to break.

You have done such an outstanding job on these! Your uncle will be so proud when he finally sees them. I love your watercoloring - I think the special paper makes a big difference. LOVE LOVE LOVE this and will be CASEing for sure. TFS.
