WOW! Todays Inspiration Challenge was a little bit different than last week. It was very hard to choose. We were to make a card from The Elm website found here:http://www.elumdesigns.com/. I chose this inspiration piece from the Express Announcements in the wedding section found here:http://www.elumdesigns.com/letterpre...nouncement/83/. My kids told me not to stay up late because we are going to be very busy tomorrow and they want me to stay awake.
Here is my story:
I started out by measuring my c/s by 5 3/4 x 5 3/4 for the top piece. I used the Scor-Pal to get the grid effect and went back over the lines using a gray marker with a ruler. Mounted it to the base card. I stamped the flower from a clear stamp from Inkadinkado where shown from the inspiration piece with black ink. I used the computer font for the sentiment of our wedding date onto white c/s using the light blue script writing, printed, and trimmed to size. I also used the ticket corner punch on all the layers for the sentiment and mounted it using foam tape. I wouldn't say that this card was an easy one, because I had trouble getting the grids to match on the first ones. Thanks for this challenge! Have a wonderful weekend!
How can I forget my anniversary!
I'm so sorry for the smudge mark that appears in the sentiment area. It is on the camera chip, hoping to get it fixed this weekend. Please look past that, thanks!
