Good morning! The night owl here. This took me quite some time to do this. I first started with a whole different kind of image, but it didn't work to well. Anyways, my kids had yesterday and today off due to our wicked ice storm, so I wanted to get this done by the time they got up this morning. I thought of a monkey story because my kids were acting like monkeys yesterday. I think it has something to with the yucky weather and we are stuck in the house. Today, my kids are wanting to learn how to make a small quilt, so I promised them I wouldn't make any cards and just sew. I wanted to get this in for the sketch because I hate being late with those.
This is kinda of different card because of the b/g paper. I wrote a short story about A Monkey on the computer. I copied, pasted 3 times to make the story with 3 paragraphs, picked the writing that I wanted, and printed onto white c/s. (so in other words, you have the same story in one big paragraph-printed out twice) This was done for the title as well. I then layered the c/s. I used Markie's Mom's dots idea here but I will only use them once in a while on my cards. I didn't think she would mind that I cased her dots again. Here is her awesome gallery: markie's mom's Gallery at Splitcoaststampers. I pierced along all the moss c/s and added white dots with the galaxy pen. I stamped the image using black ink onto white c/s. I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils, odorless mineral spirits, and blending stumps. I sponged lightly around all white edges of c/s because I felt it needed something else. I also used the slit punch for the awning. I then punched 3 flowers with the punch and used the cb swiss dots folder. I rolled the tips of the flowers with a blending tool because it was the only thing I had that was thin enough. I used a regular size hole punch for the centers of the flowers and added brads. I really enjoyed making this card. Thanks for the great challenge Roxy. Thanks for looking. What do you think?
I just happen to be browsing the challenges and this works great for the Ways to Use It for WT156...It was to incorporate your computer into your card.
I really need to get some sleep! It's 7:44am.
Have a wonderful day.

You are amazing, writing your own story for a background! I found myself trying to read it!
