Just playing around with some non-traditional Valentine colors. I came up with a simple pocket holder for a bookmark. This uses two of Verve's new stamp sets, Hundred Hearts and Sweet Valentine. Actually, I think this card would work for an anniversary or a spouse's birthday.
The pocket is the largest size on the retired SU! mini envelope template. This was traced onto the skinny stripe Hawaii Papaya (retired) designer paper and cut out. I cut off one flap from the right hand side. Stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip craft ink and clear embossed. After gluing the pocket together, it was matted on a Tangerine Tango rectangle, then a Kiwi Kiss scalloped rectangle. (Ran the long scalloped rectangle Nestie through the Cuttlebug twice to get the right size.)
For the bookmark, I embossed the sentiment on the large stripe Papaya dp. The base consists of two scalloped Kiwi Kiss rectangles with the ribbon sandwiched in between. Used tacky tape to hold it together securely. The tangerine hearts were just stamped and cut out (two layers at the same time so they match), then taped on with the ribbon in between.
The card corners are Spellbinders decorative photo corners Shapeabilities. The double hearts are just stamped on dp, cut out and popped up. Pretty simple.
