It is time for another "Catchy Name Featured Stamper" challenge (CNFS) that my CCEE group does once a month; it's one of our favorite challenges! One of us picks someone who has a catchy user name on SCS and then we create a card around that name and mail off our card to that person. It was Mothermark's turn this month and she picked Fishlips! Cindy instructed us that when we created our card it had to have fish/fish lips on it, or fish of some sort.
I used my fish stamps from Rubbernecker and drew on the big red lips for the fish on the left, whose name is, as you may have guessed, Fishlips! I selected my colors for Fishlips from one of the fish she has on her blog.
Doesn't my Fishlips remind you of Dory from Finding Nemo? Just keep on swimming!! Hee!
In case you can't read the joke in the word balloon, it reads:
"Hey, Fishlips! What sea animal can be adjusted to play music?"
INSIDE: "A Tune-A Fish!"
To create my ocean scene, I used various colors to brayer, as well as a dauber to blend the colors together. I think my brayer must be on the fritz cause it always wants to put funky lines into my creations (nothing like the gorgeous Zindorf creations).
I stamped and colored the fish separately and glued them on for a bit of dimension. The other school of fish are fish brads.
If you'd like to see the creations my friends made and/or play along with us, please check out our blog here: http://cceestampers.blogspot.com/
TFL and have a great day!

Darn it! You shoulda not told me the answer! I was trying to guess! Well, anyway, I guessed the answer anyway, before you typed it on your upload...so there!
Okay, I love, love, love that you put a joke on your card and guess what? Next time I am in charge, its gonna be a challenge requirement....let the whining begin! Snort!
What a fun card....fishlips will come up for air to get this one! Great coloring, great little scene!

What a wonderful challenge group you belong to! Love this card. I know what you mean about the brayer. I often switch to sponges just to avoid those crazy little lines. Your card is lovely, the joke's a real groaner (that's a GOOD thing) and Fishlips will love it!
