I wanted to try ironing on a stamp with velvet. I did not come up with this idea but have always wanted to try it. I even had some velvet hanging around for about a year now just waiting. Unfortunately, the velvet is a dark brown and you really can't see what I did.
I took velvet and placed it over a rubber stamp - stamp up velvet down and placed an iron over it. I waited about 10 seconds, my iron was set on 7 and the heat burns the velvet and leaves the impression of the stamp. I used the heart from A Happy Heart and cut around it. It looks pretty cool IRL and you can see the detail from the stamp.
This card took a bit longer because the safety pins are some old rub-ons that didn't want to rub off! Martha Stewart punch and sanded and french script on vanilla panel with a little sponging. I frayed the ribbon and stitched a few lines.
Thanks for looking
