This is the card I made for the Flourishes challenge, inspired by something in your home. I did want to use Flourishes stamps, which somewhat limited where I could take my inspiration from. However, I have several bird / tree-of life embroideries scattered round the place, and I thought this one was great for using Birds in Vines. I bought this in Nantes, France 13 or 14 years ago, and then found it was so big I didn't know where to start. Then a friend gave me one of those big free-standing tapestry frames for Christmas that year, so that was that problem solved. The framer really wanted to put glass in it, but I said no - and it's only just about showing signs of needing to be taken out and cleaned now.
I stamped the vines in grey, taking the colour from the bars of the cage.
The birds were coloured with Marvy markers, cut out and popped up on foam. All the edges were edged in silver, as there is silver in the frame. A pink circle cut in quarters was added to the corners, and turquoise gems.

My eyes were immediately drawn to your card while going thru the gallery. What an incredible inspiration piece and your cards captures the colors and feel of it perfectly.
