Hi! This card fits the Ways to Use It Color Wheel challenge today! (I made it last night, and I had it on my blog.)..I got an email from my buddy telling me it fit one of the color combos on this site: http://kuler.adobe.com/#themes/rating?time=30
Teal, Black, White, Yellow/Orange, Moss! WOW! I'm pyschic! LOL!
The images were stamped on watercolor paper and colored in with Copic markers. Next, I used a blender pen to blend and lighten areas for highlights. I cute out the branches and arranged them to fit the scene. The bird was cut out and adhered with foam tape. The clouds were made with a scallop punch out and sponged with Tempting Turquoise.
The small corner embellishment was made with a Cuttlebug Die.
The scalloped background is a piece of handmade paper. My friend Cora makes this with what she refers to as "Gourd Guts!" She harvests gourds and scoops out the "guts." Next, she throws them in a blender with water and linen. She uses a screen to strain the pulp.
She used to have a "curling" problem, but she solved that. When she gave me the paper it was gray. I took home 6 sheets and sprayed one with a bleach/water mixture. It turned WHITE! PERFECT

Well, you did it again. Every card you do is really a work of art. I love the colors in this. Just beautiful! I want to be you when I grow up!

Faith, I love all your work, but this has to be my favorite. What a beautiful creation. Also, love the story about the homemade paper. Got to try that.
