This is my second card for today's sketch. When I saw Faith's great birthday card this morning, her streamers and stars made me think of seaweed wrapped around starfish. I haven't wrapped anything round my starfish, but here's my underwater scene with seaweed, starfish and a sea-horse. I prefer this to my first card.
The base is dark navy, edged in gold. I made some polished stone background with Rangers Denim, Stonewashed and Pesto, so that is the next layer, also edged in gold. The seaweed is some Currency cardstock from Stamp Muse, embossed with D'vine Swirl, more navy layering and gold edging. The next layer is more polished stone, embossed with Spots and Dots, more navy layering and gold edging. The seahorse was stamped onto some of the Currency, embossed, and dabbed with Caramel and Bottle Green alcohol inks to add a bit of texture. I added Dew Drops, and 2 starfish stamped on some scrap patterned paper.
And this one was fun, I really enjoyed making it.
I'm also counting it as a late entry for WT200, Starry Eyed, because I thought of the starfish back then but was in quick and easy mode.
