I found this shelving unit at a thrift store. It is supposed to be turned the other way & used as a towel rack. I have my marker sets on the top & individual markers in the cubbies.

Looks great! Now, which markers do you like the best? I'm too cheap to buy the really good ones (Copics), but my cheap ones keep drying out, even capped tight! Just in case I splurge, do the Copics last forever?

Great idea ~ TFS!
My SU markers stay moist really well (I store them horizontally in the box they came in). Some are 5 years old and are still juicy. You can always soak the most used colors in reinker to refresh.

Cute idea! I have a suggestion for you. If I had this (and I LOVE thrift store finds like this!) I would turn it the way it was intended, hang it on the wall, and take notebook rings and use them around the dowel to hang things --- supplies or even a display. Anyway, just an idea.

Sweet! And look how much space you have! I think you need more markers.
