This card is the first one I have made for some residents in a Retirement Village that my family went to visit, I am hoping, with the help of some other friends, to be able to give each resident in the Village a card to show them that they are not forgotten and are being thought of!! You gotta spread the love around! Thank you to you SCS girls in the USA who read the description on my other card and have offered to make some cards for these people, you are very lovely and I know your beautiful cards will touch these people's hearts!
I used pre-embossed card for the image, I inked over this to make it more defined and mounted it on blue card stock then used 3D foam tape. The embossed card was given to me by my friend Hannah (aka bubblefrog) along with many other DP's. The sentiment from SU was given to me by another friend Melinda (aka Melinda80) I had borrowed it that many times from her and she surprised me one day with it as a gift - I was so thrilled...it is one of my favourites!!
Thank you for looking and also for your comments, I appreciate each one - they are so encouraging!!

Oh Linda - that is lovely in the blues!! What a beautiful card - the torn papers and the layout is gorgeous! Love the white flowers with the the brad centres - and the rhinestones are just lovely!! It is all of those little details that create a lovely card - and you've done it again!

Linda, this is so pretty, love the flowers and the heart charm. Our Peggy will want this blue card, you know it is her favorite color. Right, Peggy? The rhinestones set it off. You have a wonderful heart and how appreciative these residents will be to get beautiful hand made cards.
May God richly bless you for the kindness you show others.

This is gorgeous Linda! Everything about this card is very elegant and I especially like how you used the heart charm. Any one would be proud to get this card no matter how old they are! Great job!

Linda, this is just beautiful!!!!! I'm going to try and get mine in the mail tomorrow, so that'll give them a month to reach you, lol. The mail is notoriously slow from here!! TFS!

Linda, it is so touching that you are using your gift to bless others. I know so many are forgotten in the rest homes- I see it everytime I visit my dad. Others there that are strangers to me reach out, just to be touched and get a smile. It tears me up. It is lovely that you bring encouragement to these dear ones! Bless you for that! And what a wonderful lesson for your children too!
Your card is wonderful- I can see it is full of love.
