This is my submission for today's Technique Challenge - to make a cute origami box out of patterned paper. Good thing I practiced a couple of times on "less-loved" DP! Finally it clicked and the rest came together easily!
I made my box out of Chocolate Bella Rose DSP. I covered the box cover with Pink Pirouette DSP from the same collection. I lined the box with a square of Pink Pirouette CS. It's hard to see in the photo, but I added punched white borders to both sides of my Chocolate horizontal strip. I cut the circles with Nesties and stamped the circular border and monogram with Memento Rich Cocoa onto GP White. Popped this whole thing up on Pop-Dots. I added some felt flowers with half-pearl centers and used some pink and chocolate dotted ribbon for my box closure.
Thanks, Lynn and Melissa, for the fun new project to try!
TFL!
