Inspiration challege was to look at Tenugui calendars/artwork. I chose THIS image to case.
I have some 'magic' paper that has a color core with black on the surface. I ran both papers through the CB embossing folders then sanded then down to bring out the color in the core of paper. I matted corresponding colored mats and punched with Top Note die, trimming the embossed layer. These were bumped up on dimensionals and placed on black mat with coordinating colored cardstock as base. Sentiment is chinese (sorry, not Japanese) for "Love", punched with nesties and coordinating ribbons. Sentiment panel also popped up on dimensionals.
I made a bunch more of these to send to Stamping In Kansas for the troops to send home - basic note cards and a couple of get well cards.
Liquid pearls added on blue card ... dew drops added on green card (while it doesn't show well here, IRL, the dew drops look great.
Thanks for looking.

I cannot read the Asian character, but it may well be identical to the Japanese kanji for love; this is what allows well-educated Japanese and Chinese to read one another's languages. Characters have meanings not related to how they sound when read aloud.
Anyway, great card. I like the combo with the European scrolling type embossing, which is actually pretty common in older Japanese furnishings, etc. TFS!
