I made this as a thank you gift for our chess coach. Hiram is such a wonderful coach and great with the kids in the chess club. The chess boards he loans us are green and white so that is why the tile is. Ü I hope he likes it.

This is a very nice gift! I really like how you got everything so straight and perfectly lined up--looks very professional. Did you manyage it on your first try, or does your family now own some not-so-perfect chessboard tiles? :-) The letting in excellent too--how did you do that?

lgulotta... Wow, thank you - boy do I feel a lot better. I love what you said about having not-so-perfect chess tiles! LOL! Nope... it was all done with the stamp-a-ma-jig... although I thought it looked a little off. So, whew! - now I can give it to him and feel a little more confident. Thank you again everybody!
