Last night at a bookstore, I had a thought about the SCS color challenge and how it could be turned into a great sunset image. When I got home I came up with this. The layout took a while...I was trying to force the SCS sketch, but it wasn't coming together last night. I modified it a little this morning and it came together well enough. The result was a little too big for the envelopes I have on hand so I turned it into a small wall hanging :O)
I created the sunset using the So Saffron paper. I punched a circle out of a sticky note, centered it on the panel, and sponged the sky in Baroque Burgundy (I don't have Bravo Burgundy yet :[ ). I then sponged the ground in Forest Foliage (don't have Handsome Hunter either :[ ), followed by stamping the grass in Forest Foliage.
I pressed a VersaMark ink pad over the entire image, and used clear embossing powder to emboss it. I cut the butterfly using a Martha Stewart punch, added the dots using my SU! Baroque Burgundy marker, and added mini rhinestones (from my nail kit :O) to the center. I adhered the butterfly using my glue gun to make sure it stayed put.
I used my Scor-Pal to score lines on the left and bottom of the So Saffron panel and on the top and bottom of the sentiment panel.
