My BFF Kathy celebrated her birthday yesterday. This is the person who introduced me to stamping, so I had to stop my Christmas madness to create something nice for her. I did alter a paint can and filled it with lots of stamping accessories but I forgot to take a picture of that- what was I thinking? Sleep deprivation, for sure. Anyway, for her card I used a favorite lay-out and created something feminine being sure not to use any Christmas colors.
The base is Chocolate Chip, DP panel uses Sweet Always. I used the snowflake CB folder on Vanilla, mounted in Pirouette Pink. The main panel used Kindred Spirits, stamped off in Choc Chip. I used an eraser end in various pinks to create berries. The sentiment is a retired set that is so elegant, inked with Choc Chip. A pink taffeta bow is tied to the bottom of the stem. The main panel is heavily sponged with Pirouette Pink and edged in Chocolate, with the panel mounted in Pirouette Pink. I used large pink pearls on the vanilla panel and tiny gold beads on the corner of the main panel. My friend's eyes lit up when I gave this to her yesterday- priceless!
