I am always on the look-out for neat gift ideas that I can use at the store to inspire my customers, so when I saw these cute Christmas candy skewers on Andrea Walford's blog a few weeks ago, I knew I had to give it a try.
I purchased an assortment of gummy Christmas shapes, and spiced gum drops for my skewers, and used Bo Bunny Double-Dot paper for my little Christmas tree. For my star, I ran yellow cardstock through my Xyron 150, then punched out the star shapes and applied glitter. I used "double-pretzel" cello bags purchased at a local bulk food store.
Instead of attempting to tell you how to make this, I will refer you to the video tutorial on Andrea's blog as it's very well done and much easier to understand than any written directions I could post here! (http://andreawalford.com/?p=817)
My daughter Kelsey and I made 5 of these in about an hour the other night that she is giving to some of her friends. I bought more candy yesterday, and she is anxious to make some more to hand out before the end of the week!
