I made 11 of these and was so happy with them until I taped the vellum down. I was just sick, it looked horrible. I have never worked with vellum before. I bought the special tape just for vellum and it showed through the vellum after I taped it down. I asked my SU! Demonstrator for suggestions and she gave me several. The one I decided to use was cut out an oval, cuttlebug it with the folder that I used on the silver and place it over the vellum. You can still see some of the type but it isn't blaring you in the face like it was before.
I embossed with silver on the vellum and colored on the backside with Prismacolor pencils and blended with the blender pencil.

This is so pretty! I love the ovals. Sticking vellum down has always been a problem. I either do like you did and place something over it or apply the adhesive (like xyron) over the entire back side of vellum.
