As soon as I saw it I knew I was going to use a RAK from Suleika (Roxystamper) I just love dandelions...just want to blow them and make a wish - did anyone else do that as a child?!? I embossed my DP with a Fiskar Texture Plate and then inked it lightly with the white craft ink, to define the swirls more - I was wanting to give the impression of movement....
I used a silver string of sequins and silver brads instead of a silver chain....then stamped on vellum. Just wanted to keep it simple. I dry chalked the dandelion with light grey and then highlighted the centres with chalks and a blender pen - I used a darker shade of grey. I had every intention of using Dimensional Magic on the image, but resisted the urge...I think it would have ruined it....kept it as is!!!
Thanks for looking and for your encouraging comments, I read and appreciate them all!

Oooo! This is pretty! Isn't there someone we know that likes blue...? I wanted this stamp and when I tried to get it, they were out at my LSS! *That's right, I finally know what LSS stands for, HA!
My kids pick any dandilions in the yard and bring them to me as they think they are my favorite flowers!

Very cool card. Love this image too. I used to blow dandylions when I was little. I have the most awesome picture of my son doing it when he was really little. Love the paper you chose. The trim is awesome. Great job. TFS

We did blow on these for luck as children. What a memory- so simple. Wish we could still close our eyes and wish for simple things! This is beautiful. I love how you 'shadowed' around the main image. Wonderful layout.

your card is beautiful and yes we would wish on dandelions till we realized how many more sprang up in the yard with each seed, then my father would pay us a penny for every 10 we would dig out of the yard. probably where i got my mercenary streak from! LOL! but aside from my HUGELY OFFENSIVE overshare, this is a beautiful card my friend!

Thanks for the comments...NancyRuth you made me think and I realised that I am one of those Mum's who automatically say 'don't blow that....it'll make weeds everywhere,' but I have to remind myself that the pleasure in that moment, and the joy in brings my child, is worth far more to me than the pain (and it is a pain) digging those weeds out!!! I sometimes forget that life is made up of moments...there will always be weeds....but as long as they are green....is it so bad!?!?! Just a thought!!! Thanks again for your comments!

I don't know, I think there is always something beautiful about dandelions on a card... and this is not exception! It's really lovely! The sequins are just lovely!
Since others have felt free to share there dandelion stories- may I just share on of my own??
I had to laugh many years ago when my grandma was in her late 80's or early 90's, and in a care home. She was always careful to keep her hair coloured, because as she said as I visited her in the care home - look around you Deborah - all I can see is women that look like spent dandelions! in reference to their grey hair! OH my grandma!! She had quite a sense of humour!
