this all started while playing with the cricut, and cutting out the star. I got the idea to not use the cut out of the star, but the paper where the star had been cut, YKWIM? So then I sponged on navy blue ink on this textured white CS, and then made the sand (with scrap chipboard!) and inked it a little to add dimension. Then I stamped and embossed the wisemen stamp. which I should have done before adding the "sand" because the camels legs didn't turn out, so I had to go back with and embossing pen and fix them so they didn't look like they were floating! The sentiment I got the idea from an ornament I saw at Family Christian bookstore. I typed that up and printed on vellum. I don't know if you can tell, but this whole scene is popped up and the shiny silver foil is underneath. I added some tiny "stars" with a glitter gel pen, don't know if you can see that, oh well. thanks for looking! Jesus is the reason for the season! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

This is a very pretty card. Love the 'star' effect. Thanks for sharing the deets; it helped to see things that wasn't as noticeable before. Love your colors, too!
