This is the second of four holiday post cards I made for Darlene PavlickÂ’s challenge (see her blog for all of the information here: http://darscraftycreations.blogspot.com/) as part of the celebration at No Time to Stamp. Sharon Johnson is celebrating her blogÂ’s one millionth visitor!
Darlene has come up with an economical way to send holiday greetings – post cards – and challenged visitors to her blog to make some.
I love this image, which I purchased this weekend at my shopping extravaganza at “The Store for Absolutely Everything” (where I bought pretty much absolutely everything). I added some additional snowflakes and some touches of color with my new “vintage” mica watercolors and watercolor pencils.
To “finish”, I painted the dark centers of the snowflakes with some shimmering champagne mica paint and then embossed them by stamping over them again with embossing ink and embossing with iridescent embossing powder. I also embossed other snowflakes randomly over the card with iridescent embossing powder as well. I only wish they showed up in the photographs.
