I always bring a craft to family holiday gatherings. This year at Thanksgiving it was just my sister, brother-in-law, my DH and myself gathering - but I still brought a project!
It was this orange and whole cloves so we could make a pomander ball - remember making these when you were a kid??? I just love the smell of them - it reminds me so much of Christmas!
Before I left for dinner I saw Julia's challenge to make a thank you card or thank you gift.
So when I got home - I added felt ribbon, a star, folded satin ribbon and stick pin at the top to hold the felt ribbon on and this sentiment tag.
This pomander ball will be going to my 93 year old mother in law who felt she couldn't make the trip with us today to my sisters. This will be to let her know that we love her and that she is an important part of our lives.
Thanks for the wonderful challenge today Julia - and Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving!
What a cute and thoughtful project/gift. I love the smell of cloves. A secret thing I do is sprinkle some ground cloves on my carpet b/f vacuuming and the house smells good all day! Kinda 'spensive, but I don't do it all the time!!
