I wanted to make a special sympathy card for Diane, who lost her Mother this morning. If you would like to send Diane (miss apple) a card, you can PM me.
I thought the color challenge today would be a good place to start and then I decided to use a technique that I saw on Sharon Johnson's blog yesterday. She double embossed some trees and I thought it looked so stunning, that I had to try it myself. It's simple to do, but I think it has so much impact! Thanks so much Sharon!
I did the same with the Flourishes bird, by just tinging the wings with the second color. I popped him up on thick dimensional foam dots.

Deena, this is so fabulous for Diane. I know she will just be overwhelmed when she sees this one. I love that technique. You've mastered it for sure. I saw it on Karen's blog too, but just didnt read the details. This card is just profoundly wonderful and for such an endearing fellow Canadian. Beautiful card, Deena.
