I needed a quick project today as I needed to work this morning and had just a short amount of time to actually create today. This is the 5th project I've done using Grey and Red to highlight Diabetes Awareness this week (you can read more about it on my blog here): http://fortheartofit.blogspot.com/20...fic-treat.html
This is the first Limited Supplies challenge I've participated in. I lucked out in that it was pretty easy!! And I'm encouraged to try another sometime!
Limit: Your creation should have some sort of
chocolate theme
Stamps: any
Cardstock and ink: at least one shade of
chocolate, plus any others – including
white chocolate!
Embellishments and tools: any
My grandma is coming into town today before flying out to my uncle's for Thanksgiving. I decided that my project would be a decorated candy bar she can take with her on the plane. (And I made one for my mom too - not sure if she'll eat it or give it away, but I didn't want to leave her out). My base layer is some cream embossed paper; it made me think of the chocolate molds that you can pour chocolate into. I picked the rose because I was going to have it attached to the base layer, but ended up having it as a tag. The rose paper is OLD, OLD; I ran a cream colorbox pad over it to soften up the colors a little bit. As a final touch I used some Hot Cocoa card scents so it smells yummy too!
I love how it turned it out!! And I can hear the reactions already:
"It's too pretty to tear up and eat" - my grandma
"Seems like a lot of trouble for a candy bar" - my mom
But I enjoyed making it and I'm sure they will too!

This is beautiful! You did a great job. Thank you, too, for highlighting Diabetes Awareness Week. My dad suffers from it, and I hope to help prevent others from getting Type II.
Delightful project - thanks so much for playing the LSC!
Beautiful wrappers for yummy chocolate! Your predictions are so funny - my Mom would just eat it, never see the wrapper and my DGM would have fussed over how much the candy bar cost - thanks for the memories!

I've loved your projects this week, and this one is no exception! The shadows and highlights of your flowers are amazing, and the dp is a beautiful match for these beauties. I love that you used real chocolate for this challenge too!
