This is my card for Cindy's 20th !! teapot challenge - http://mothermark.blogspot.com/2008/...uesday-20.html. DH thought it looked like a hard teapot, I loved it.
I do think there's something unfinished about the card, though, so any suggestions welcome. Should I go round the edge of the fawn card with something? And the Primas are only on with a repositionable glue dot.
The base is black card. The fawn layer is punched with a hole punch, and after I stuck the ribbon on I glued it to the base. I didn't write on the two little tags because I don't know what occasion this card will be for yet.
The top panel is a large circle of black, painted with white. Then a layer of fawn, with little punched flowers and mulberry leaves, and Liquid Pearls in the centre of the flowers. And then a HOTP Big Brad, spotted with a Sakura Glaze pen. I won the brads a while back, and couldn't think I'd use them all so I got rid of some in a card kit swap. Luckily I still had some left .
I love the custom white balance on my new camera - it makes nighttime photography such a joy. One photo, no trial and error.
And - after I'd carefully coloured all the brown dots on a Prima with a black pen, then I found my missing bag of black and white Primas. Typical.

OMG! This is the top view of the teapot....looking down on it! What a cool, cool card! You know what is funny, you and I did the exact same thing to get the polka dots in the background of the card..mine are punched too! Giggle!
You have so many cool details...I don't think it needs one more thing..its awesome just as it is! You did a good job painting polka dots on your flower....next time you need those polka dotted primas, they will be lost again! Snort!
Thanks for coming, thanks for the link and I am so happy we didn't have any darn roses to deal with!

Sabrina, what a fabulous card. I love the perspective from the top of the teapot. I love the colored flowers that you used. What if you had a sentiment or something on the tags? That is the only part that I could tell that might feel unfinished. I love the center brad.

Are you ever creative! Sabrina, this is so magnificent! I love the black and white checks and those punched holes on the top layer. I would never have been able to think this one up. This is so fabulous just the way it is, honestly. It's just one amazing card, girl!

NO NO do not do anything else on this card...it is perfection! It is like a view of the teapot from above, hee! I LOVE your interpretation, and into my faves it goes!
