what an unusual and pleasing color combination, Christine. Being in the Pacific Northwest, we CERTAINLY have our PACIFIC GREY days!
I wanted to honor veterans today...those living and home in my family. Not quite sure how well I did without those red waves in the flag...I used the wonderful set from Artistic Outpost called Heros. My little boy is stamped onto white GP cs with Palette grey hybrid ink...he is colored with Copics, cut and placed on top of the grand ole flags. I inked the flag image with VersaMark and embossed in clear...the Pacific Point paper is perfect for this, I think. I stamped my DAD up the left side, in honor of my father (Marines in Korea in the 50's) and our boys' DAD (two tours in Vietnam in the Navy during the late 60's). The card base is Basic Grey and the Certainly Celery layer is punched with the SU slot punch and the words Hero and Brave were added.
Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a comment. Go hug or call someone who has given so much to protect our freedoms. More can be found on my blog.

This is a beautiful tribute to all those men and women. SO many of them still serving our country to defend our freedom. Hugs to both your DADS. Great card for today. I really like this set. Can't wait to get mine. TFS

What a lovely tribute to our veterans! I can say that my favorite veteran passed last year. He was ALWAYS the first person in our Veteran's Day parade, and I choked up when I saw his GREAT GREAT Grandson heading up the parade this year in a car that was dedicated to him.

What a fitting tribute on this day to HONOR our Veterans. Old Glory looks good in blue. This is a wonderful card.
THANK YOU to your dad, your boys dad and all the other dads, moms, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives for their service to our great country. Freedom isn't free. Some gave all.
