I really wasn't intending to upload anymore cards today, honest! But Anne was curious as to how well the shiny Currency stock photographs, so I took a photo of it so she could see. Cook22 might be interested, too.
So here is my Peacock. It was a grand adventure to make this card. Being a newbie, I am very new at playing with Pearl Ex. I found the Peacock stamp in clear acrylic form, I think it's from Basic Grey. I wasn't quite convinced that it would fit on an A-2 card when I bought the stamp, but it does! Just barely.
I colored it by blending several Pearl Ex colors on a black background panel; mounted it on turquoise, an unknown shade of Currency and black.
I've heard one is to apply a fixative to Pearl Ex to keep it from smearing, but I'm not quite up to speed on that yet. If anyone has any pearls of wisdom to share on the subject, I'm all ears!
Have a lovely evening and a wonderful week!

Okay this it! I cant take your referring to youself as a newbie: Newbies dont create these kinds of original works of art, trust me. Divine Ms M this is divine! I through away my pearl ex stuff, so I'll never be able to recreate this beauty. It's just gorgeous. That paper photographs beautifully too.
Yes, you'll need to apply some fixative: I would send you some, but it's prohibited. Michaels sells it in their paints area, I think. Just place this beauty in a plastic bag and hang tight til you're able to pick up a can of that fixative spray. Just beautiful. Remarkable.

Yes, I am interested . But it's that beautiful peacock that caught my eye. The beak makes me think more of a phoenix, but it is so gorgeous. I'll have to check out the Pearl-Ex if I have any spending money after Christmas, you've been doing such lovely things with it.
