I decided to make another, somewhat more challenging, card for yesterday's inspiration. I found this picture http://www.bodenusa.com/en-us/Girls-...ong-Johns.html and thought I could do something with it, though nothing like some of the amazing cards I've seen based on the kids clothing. It's also for Beate's weekend sketch, which can be found here - http://beate.blogs.splitcoaststamper...-challenge-65/
The base is white card. Alas, the Swiss Dots folder was out of stock when I had a recent order in with Frantic Stamper, so I made my own spotted background with an inferior glitter glue which comes out so heavily that it took all night to dry. The blue and pink layers are both Bazzill, the blue for the corner panel was embossed. I stamped the owl once onto pink card with magenta ink, and once onto white, because the only way to give her those beautiful blue eyes was to have the head on white card. I used H2Os for the eyes and a marker and aquapainter to take the bright white colour out of
the face. I stamped the branch and leaves onto white card and again used marker and aquapainter for the branch. I stamped a sentiment from Lots of Thoughts onto pink card, punched it out and stuck the end under the pink layer, and added a blue gem. then I just added a couple of Primas and a polka-dot brad, and that was it. I have a little girl in mind for this. She's grown a bit from when I used to mind her and had to buy all sorts of pink flowers and stickers and things - but I doubt she's too old for pink yet.
