This, at last, is for Cindy's nineteenth teapot challenge - http://mothermark.blogspot.com/2008/...uesday-19.html. It's been a long tea-party this week.
OK, you all know I don't really have rose stamps. So...
the base is linen finish white card. To add a bit of life I stamped it with Weathered in Versamark and then scraped some pale cream chalk pastel over it and brushed it in. I used Weathered again on the green strip, and green chalk.
I punched the bottom with a 1" circle punch, and the top with a 3/4" punch all along. For the flowers I used a flower punch and dark pinky-red card for the base, and then stamped flowers from Think Happy Thoughts and Seeing Spots for the centres. I used ColorBox Chalk Pink Pastel and Rouge. I curled them up a bit and added little pearls in the centre.
The little green bits at the bottom, and top corners are from a daisy punch cut up. I just drew the curls along the top of the green strip. The Thank You tag was stamped with Brilliance Pink Orchid onto frosted shrink plastic, and then I punched the tag.
That was where I was last night, but the green strip was too wide and just didn't look right. Even though DH normally thinks all ribbon takes away from any card, he even suggested gold ribbon down the centre. I used this gold rose peel-off border instead.
And I punched the top corners.
It's not my favourite teapot card, but inspiration challenges are my weak point. Give me a nice technique I can get my teeth into any day!

I love that little touch of gold there in the middle of the green. Your swirls are right on and I like how you used ribbon with a swirl also. Nice sharing tea with you!
