This is my second card using this sketch... I didn't set out to use this again but as I started I thought it would work quite well.
I wanted to make a very late birthday card for my Mum in Australia and started with the idea of a quilt. She loves sewing and her fave colour is teal blue - she is a home economics teacher and an awesome cook - and she loves cupcakes!
To make the 'quilt' I used four coordinating colours of cardstock and cut into 1" pieces then stuck on another piece of card in a patchwork fashion. I then stamped a stitch pattern on the joins and finally ran through the cuttlebug using my Argyle folder... was really pleased with the results!
Main image is stamped using Basic Grey and coloured with markers. Added some glitter to the icing. Finished off with two ribbons and some Primas.
Hope Mum will like it and will make up for being dreadfully late!
What do you think?
