I was especially inspired by the 9 blocks. There were many examples of the blocks with Iris, Babmoo, Orchids, etc. I took the block inspiration and used winter trees, pine sprigs, plain and fancy snowflakes to work with. I didn't want my blocks to be perfect so I hand cut them, and labeled them so they would go back together correctly I loved the colors he used but most important was his use of light around the blocks and images. I tried to duplicate that feel with Distress Antique Linen, Weathered Wood and Peeled Painted. I used white craft ink for the snow and embossed.
Fun challenge, Stephanie. I enjoyed this very much.

Stunning card, Kittie! I love the colors and the wonderful winter scenes in the blocks! You really captured the light effects of the inspiration artwork!
