I LOVE LOVE this challenge, because I LOVE LOVE crackle paint! I kind of "rediscovered" it last weekend, during the mini VSN challenges. We had to make a frame, and I put some crackle paint on plain cardboard, and it darn near looked like wood!!
I also never could get chipboard to work for me, but now since I fell in love with the crackle paint, chipboard is ALOT more fun, hee!
Unfortunately, the only color I have is Mustard Seed, but using distressed inks over the crackle paint helps make it a little more versatile until I can get a new color....for the ornament, I painted the chipboard in crackle paint really really thick (which makes it crackle more), and while it was still really wet, I pressed my Pretty Patterns background onto it, which had some leftover blue distress ink, which helped the pattern stand out really well!

I remember that frame! And those girlies! This is beautiful. It totally reminds me of some of my grandma's beautiful christmas tree ornaments....its rocks! Very nicely done!

Wow this is gorgeous. I just love the way the crackle looks with that stamp over it. Great job. I really like this color combo. You rocked this challenge. TFS
