Did you ever have one of thse days when everything goes wrong?
And then you think...why am I bothering to do this?
Well that's how this little project started out..
I was looking forward to making these Pixie Stix holders this morning...and probably a good idea being that Halloween is only a few days away...(better late than never!)
Obstacle#1..the blade came off of the track on my MM cutter..not a big problem..but just annoying
Obstacle#2..my marvy circle punch died...could not be revived..i am still mourning the loss. :o)
Obsatacle #3..myself..in al of my confusion..i cut (and adhered) the pieces of CS to the fronts of the pockets THEN realized i made them too wide...so..
Obstacle#4...now the scalloped square didnt look right over the "belt"..so i had to relocate it..(not thrilled with the look)
Obstacle #5: not too pleased with the coloring..
Obstacle #6..I made a dozen holders..but...ran out of Pixie Stix..(and iI didn't even eat one while I was working on this project! Heck..if i knew I'd run out..I'd have had a few!
Anyway..here they are...in all of their erroneous blaze of glory..
(ps..They really were fun to make and easy too..I am already thinking of a Christmas variation)

YOur account of your misfortunes is hilarious but I can sympathize with how things can go wrong. I personally think the coloring is great. Actually I think the whole project looks great! My mom quilts and used to agonize over the mistakes. What I reminded her was that she knew what they were but no one else would ever see them (and no one did) because they didn't know what the original plan in her head was! So never worry about the little mistakes because no one would ever really know. Cool project!

I think they are super cute. I would never have even guessed you had a problem had I not read the story first. You are funny though. And happy to see I'm not the only one that has one of those days. Great job.

I just had to laugh at your comments! I think we all have days like that. I noticed that was from last year. Hopefully this year was better. Let me know what you came up with to put in them for Christmas. I'm thinking candy canes. Thank you for the laugh and the wonderful idea! :0)
