I love this little silhouette image from Stampendous, and I think it goes quite well with the sentiment from A Muse.
The idea to tear the paper strips for a quick and easy sunset (i.e. no brayer or special tools involved) popped into my head when I saw the stamp on my shelf -- and the card came together quickly after that! Love when the idea *works* on the finished product! There are also three black ribbon knots along the left edge of the card that don't show up as well as I'd like in the photo...
Thanks for looking!

This is a great idea! First I was picturing this as a framed piece, and then I got inspired for an art project with my 7/8th graders...creating various papers using different techniques (or one technique in the different colors) and ripping them for the sky and adding a small painted silhouette. I'm always on the lookout for new ideas with that group of kids, so I thank you for the inspiration there!
This is really lovely, by the way--good job!
