Wow, first challenge I've participated in in a while! And I shouldn't have- with my big SAS coming up this weekend and I havne't started prepping... I'm great at procrastinating!
Anyway, I just love these colors and really felt inspired to stamp something "just because" today. This is for the color challenge from yesterday.
The flower is chocolate chip embossed in clear, with a felt flower and a rhinestone brad attached. Once it was all put together I wished I'd stamped a pretty subtle background on the chocolate chip first so I decided to add the paper piercing in the shape of the Top Note to the left of the ribbon. I really like that. I still wish I'd done the background, maybe in French Script or Floral... oh well. There's next time. I listed in the keywords that this is CAS (Clean & simple) because of the layout but I'm not sure everyone would agree with embossing involved?!?
Ooh, almost forgot to mentio that the beveled edge of the hodgepodge I actually added a touch of Pink Pirouette ink to with a cue tip- I don't know why I felt like it needed a little something.

Beautiful!
I love the paper piercing and that felt ribbon is FABULOUS!
I think it is Clean and Simple But I don't know if my opinion counts, cause I CAN"T do clean and simple - I love distressing way too much.

this is terrific, Kristin. I'm glad I read about that "faux" top note piercing. I was in awe of how you would have gotten only part of the note perferation marks without actually cutting. great idea! I think this is CAS, the embossing only takes an extra step (or two). I adore this!

Ooooh, pretty! I really like how you suggested the other other edge of the top note using the piercing. Very cool! I need a sympathy card for a friend and this fits the bill...thanks for sharing!
