Hi! This card was made for today's Technique Lovers Challenge: Pink Twinks.
Speedy the Cat has been "in the PINK" this week....He's been feisty, eaten MarkieÂ’s Lucky Bamboo, and then, he nipped me in the chest! TWICE! Then, today, when I saw the challenge, I realized that I hadnÂ’t done a self check breast examine this month!
So, I decided this was the PERFECT time to make a PROMISE to my sister, sisters-in-law, mother, aunts and grandmother to CALL them on the 20th of every month and remind them to do a self check! IÂ’m doing this, and then, IÂ’m calling back on the 21st to make sure they did! And if they hadnÂ’t, IÂ’m staying on the line until they do!
So, today I will be making another 22 of this cardÂ…. If you know me, you KNOW that making more than 10 cards alike about kills me. However, for these family women, the women who will help raise my son if I succumb to this disease, itÂ’s worth the effort.
The elephant was colored with watercolor pencils. Next, I used an aqua painter and painted Twinkling H2OÂ’s onto the penciled area. This helped to blend and give sparkle to the image.
I cut the circles and scallop with Nestibilities. The white areas were run through various Cuttlebug Embossing Folders.

Awesome, Faith! Great idea to plan a certain date for a self-check and then follow-up with loved ones! Had my yearly mammogram earlier this month and everything was A-OK!!!
