This is my contribution to the October's Dirty Girl Challenges, Central theme was to be music inspired, I used the sketch, and the inspiration piece as well... so I think that covers three of the challenges.
My Sentiment is "Memories"... Thinking of Barbra Streisand's Song...
Mem'ries
Light the Corner of my mind,
Misty watercolored memories,
Of the way we were.
Scattered pictures,
Of the smiles we left behind,
Smiles we gave to one another
For the way we were...
The images are stamped in Chocolate Chip on a tan marbled dp, then distressed, sponged, and ran the edges direct to pad. The craft mat was run through the CB with the Alegro EF which had CC ink on it. The lady by the piano was mounted on crumbled, ink distressed sheet music dp by Paper Studio. Memories was stamped on a Nestie cut oval and punched with the slot punch, and gold ribbon was laced through it. The butterflies were cut with a CB die twice... one with the Basic Grey Periphery BG dp, and once with Gold Vellum, then the gold ones were run through the CB with EF's for their larger butterfly die/emboss combo. All mounted on Basic Grey Dark Brown Periphery. I thought the gold added a touch of class and brightness to the darker monochromatic hues. The card is 5 X7.
Hope you like it... it's really out of my comfort zone, but I love the words on the one image... giving a name, married , and deceased "1880". It conjures up all sorts of thoughts of the memories she would have had, and the ones I've accrued myself. Sometimes the whole picture of our lives flash through our minds like a giant screen movie, and I hope your memories are happy ones. Life is short... enjoy each day and make many happy memories!

So beautiful Grace! A lot of work and such fabulous results. Very classy and a great vintage feel. I love it that you had a great song in mind when you made it too.
