I combined Wednesday's Sketch Challenge 198 (SC198) and Thursday's Ways To Use It: Mad for Plaid (WT188) for this card. Like I said yesterday, at first I didn't know what to do with this sketch challenge but by bedtime Wednesday night I had an idea and was eager to get started last night. I was super excited to see that I could make use of the "Ways To Use It" challenge in this card as well by creating the plaid background to go with it.
This card was sort of touch and go, however. I added more color to both plaid backgrounds several times as it seemed like there was just too much white space. I added dimension by using matting tape to raise up the little snowman and his hat and scarf. I also roughed up the edges of some panels and the rounded corners of the card to add some more texture. Not sure if I'm completely happy with the finished product as it seems like something is still missing but overall I don't think it turned out too bad.
